Alma Burbano is a Physician born in Cali, Colombia. She completed her MD with a minor in Biopsychology at Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá. Has worked in basic science, clinical research, and as part of a multidisciplinary team caring for patients with complex abdominal tumors. Her interests include minimally invasive surgery and value-based health care.

Juan C. Lara, MDPostdoctoral Research Fellow
Juan Lara is a physician from Bogota, Colombia. He graduated from medical school with a full tuition scholarship at Universidad de los Andes. He has worked on exercise physiology, hematologic malignancies research, and extensively on neuroradiology and neurosurgical pathologies. His interests include image-guided procedures, medical devices, technology, and programming.

Hamad Nasim, MDPostdoctoral Research Fellow
Hamad Nasim is a physician from New Delhi, India. He graduated from University College of Medical Sciences, Delhi University. He subsequently worked as a resident physician in the department of Internal Medicine where his profound interest in Pulmonary and Critical Care emerged. He is dedicated to pursuing his goal of becoming a Pulmonary and Critical care Physician.

Chan Yeu Pu, MD, MSPostdoctoral Research Fellow
Chan Yeu Pu is a pulmonary critical care attending in Boston. He completed his internal medicine residency at John H. Stroger Hospital and obtained his master of science in clinical research at Rush University in Chicago, Illinois. He continued his fellowship training in pulmonary critical care in University at Buffalo, New York. His clinical and research interests are focused on thoracic oncology and bronchoscopy.

Makayla completed her BS in Human Biology, Health, and Society at Cornell University while double minoring in Global Health and Inequality Studies. Makayla has experience in basic science, clinical research and international public health field-work, in addition to completing her Masters of Science in Human Nutrition at Columbia University. Her interests include medicine, community engagement, and family health.
