Lung Transplant Program
The Lung Transplant Program at the Massachusetts General Hospital Transplant Center and the Lung Cancer Program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center brings together state-of-the-art technology and leading-edge medical and surgical interventions to provide patients with individualized care before and after their lung transplants.
At MGH, the lung transplant program was founded in 1990 and was the first Medicare-approved lung transplant program in New England. The IP service provides support in the management of transplant related airway complications.

We perform transplants from both living and deceased donors and maintain the region’s largest Living Donor Program.
