Rani Singh, PhDDr. Singh earned her Ph.D. degree in Ethnomedicine from the University of Mumbai, India. She obtained her early postdoctoral training in Immunology and Infectious Diseases from the University of Manitoba, Canada, and The Forsyth Institute (Harvard School of Dental Medicine), Cambridge, USA. She has held a Career in Immunology Postdoctoral Fellowship from the American Association of Immunologists.
Dr. Singh's research is focused on understanding the immunopathogenesis of Tracheobronchomalacia (TBM), a severe condition leading to highly collapsible airways in a subset of patients. She is particularly interested in dissecting the role of glycan-binding proteins in immune regulation that may lead to airway remodeling and TBM. Through identification of biomarker(s) and immune alterations in the airways, her goal is to develop novel tools for minimally-invasive diagnosis and further aid in the development of innovative therapies for TBM. |
